Harinderpal Dhami, appeared for the defence in a retrial regarding child rape allegations after the jury at the first trial could not reach a verdict on the 6 counts the defendant was charged with.

The accused, who married abroad and had only been in the UK for 3 months and had been in custody for over 12 months, was acquitted in under 3 hours on day 7 of the retrial.

The case included the use of Section 28 pre-recorded cross-examination, interpreters and an intermediary.
