Darron Whitehead, leading Matthew Cullen, prosecutes gang-motivated shooting. On Friday 2nd October 2026, Tyrese Henry and Mikey Large were each convicted of four counts of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. They await sentence. This related to a targeted shooting of a rival gang member in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, where they shot at four innocent members of the public in January 2026.

A third individual, Tyrese Henry’s partner, was convicted of two counts of assisting an offender having helped him in the aftermath of the shooting and subsequent disposal of evidence. 

The convictions followed a three-week trial held away from Birmingham at Leicester Crown Court.

Lee Marklew KC and Carl Templar-Vasey represented Tyrese Henry, whilst Tom Walking KC and Ragveer Chand represented Mikey Large.
