

Lillian accepts instructions in all areas of family law, including Financial Remedies, Private Children disputes and Care proceedings. She is also developing her knowledge and experience in the area of Alternative Families.
To date, Lillian has undertaken a wide variety of work. Within financial remedies, she has represented clients at all stages of proceedings, including at private FDR, and has acted in TLATA disputes and advised on appeals to the Child Maintenance Service.
Lillian has appeared in the Family Division of the High Court in her own right, representing clients on their application for return orders under the Inherent Jurisdiction. She has also undertaken work involving Forced Marriage, International contact disputes pursuant to Article 21 of the 1980 Hague Convention, multi-day fact-finding hearings involving serious allegations of sexual abuse and child abuse, appeal hearings, and complex Family Law Act disputes.
Prior to pupillage, Lillian worked as a paralegal for a specialist family law firm in London, gaining experience in public and private law children matters, domestic and international adoptions, abduction, surrogacy and financial remedies. Lillian also has previous experience working within a leading offshore Commercial Litigation team in Jersey where she primarily assisted with Trust and Company Law disputes.
Lillian undertook the Graduate Diploma in Law and Bar Practice Courses following five years at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire where she studied as a classical concert pianist, having performed and competed domestically and abroad.
Outside of Law, Lillian is a keen runner and enjoys spending her free time entering races, hiking, travelling and of course, playing the piano.
