The King has appointed Christopher Royle to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon. 

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Leeds Combined Court Centre with effect from Monday 9 January 2023. 

Background Information

Christopher Royle will be known as District Judge Royle. He was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 2009. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2019.
