Kevin Hegarty KC and Ben Williams prosecute a high profile murder trial at Stafford Crown Court. The Defendant drove a car into a crowd of young adults gathered on the pavement outside a takeaway, in the small hours of a Sunday morning last October, in Oswestry, Shropshire. He killed a young woman who was dragged under and along by the car, sustaining catastrophic internal injuries, and injured two young men. He admits manslaughter and assault but denies murder and attempting to cause GBH.
