Tamsin Sandiford

Introduction

“A star in the making who has built a highly regarded practice” (Chambers UK Bar 2027), Tamsin has quickly established a broad and busy employment practice covering a wide range of issues including discrimination, whistleblowing, TUPE, equal pay and unfair dismissal. Her client base includes local authorities, NHS Trusts, large private companies and individual claimants. Ranked in both the Legal 500 and Chambers UK Bar, she is an in-demand advocate for complex multi-day final hearings in addition to substantive preliminary hearings. Her civil litigation experience also enables her to apply her employment law experience in a civil context, including claims in the County Court and High Court.

Tamsin acted for the Claimant in the landmark whistleblowing case Rice v Wicked Vision at EAT, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court level, taking an active role in preparation, legal research, and drafting written arguments.

Tamsin also appears regularly in the civil courts in personal injury matters. She is experienced in Fast Track work and also recently obtained a mandatory and prohibitory injunction against the misuse of confidential information in the High Court on behalf of a charitable organisation.

Tamsin is quick to understand the essence of her brief, and quick to build a rapport with her clients – with whom she is very popular. Tamsin has the ability to formulate and present persuasive arguments of even the most complex matters, whilst being able to explain things clearly and concisely for her clients. She enjoys working closely with her professional clients on strategy and tactics.
