To celebrate its 25th anniversary year, Advocate has been encouraging its volunteers to take part in 25 for 25: The Pro Bono Challenge.  From June 2021 through to June 2022, volunteers were encouraged to keep a record of their Pro Bono hours.

We are delighted that William Horwood has completed 25 pro bono hours and has been awarded with a ‘challenge completed’ Advocate logo. William has been undertaking cases for Advocate since 2019 and frequently acts on a pro bono basis, providing both advice and representation in court in his specialist area of family law.

Chambers Director Joe Wilson, who is St Philips’ pro bono champion with Advocate, said;

“Chambers is hugely proud of the hard work undertaken and generosity shown by William in earning the 25 for 25 Pro Bono Challenge.

Access to justice for all is only possible when barristers such as William dedicate a portion of their already busy diaries to provide their expertise to people who otherwise would not be able to afford appropriate representation.”
