At St Philips, we are synonymous with attracting and nurturing some of the finest talent at the Bar and we are looking to add to our Employment Group and Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence Groups, by seeking tenancy applications from barristers at all levels of call.
If you are an ambitious, highly motivated individual with the goal of developing your practice by undertaking high calibre work at a leading set, then this is an excellent opportunity for you.
Our Employment Group is consistently top-ranked by Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500 and is one of the “pre-eminent sets in Birmingham” and a “top choice on the Midland Circuit for complex employment law cases”. The “dynamic” Ed Beever leads the group, which is recognised as a team of “superb barristers at the top of their game” and has a proven track record of producing members of the judiciary.
Our Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence group is led by the “strategically brilliant” Andrew Evans. The team provides advice and representation to both claimants and defendants with niche specialism in international/travel injury claims, inquests and costs. The Group is recognised by the directories as “an impressive set with quality barristers” and the team have “good strength in depth”.
We have an office in Leeds and members of the team are based across the country, meaning we undertake work nationally. Our members work flexibly as well as from Chambers, as we recognise everyone’s needs and we work hard to support them.
If you specialise in Employment (including associated civil/High court work), Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, or a combination of these practice areas, and you would like to know more about life at St Philips, please get in touch. You will not only benefit from access to the minds and the depth of experience of a supportive and collegiate group of colleagues but also, importantly a very competitive charging structure, state-of-the-art facilities and dedicated specialist clerking to support your practice development.
Our Chambers has a very bright future, if you would like to be part of it then please apply for tenancy or a probationary tenancy. Further information on how to apply can be found here: tenancy application.
All applications are received in confidence.
