Introduction

Sarah Turner accepted tenancy at St Philips in October 2024 after completing a specialist Crime and Regulatory Pupillage under the supervision of Jonathan Barker. She has enjoyed gaining further experience under the supervision of Stefan Kolodynski and Tom Walkling. She has benefited from experiencing a wide variety of proceedings from the perspective of both Prosecution and Defence.

Prior to commencing Pupillage, Sarah worked as a Crown Court Clerk before becoming a Justices’ Legal Adviser at Birmingham Family Court. These roles gave her valuable insight into the functioning of the Justice System as well as practical experience with different tribunals.

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, learning to play squash, and cryptic crosswords.
