Introduction

Jake Smithers joined St Philips Chambers in 2017 as a Junior Civil Clerk and, following his promotion in 2018, has become an established member of the Business & Property Group clerking team. He assists with the administration and running of members’ practices including diary management, allocation of new work, and fee negotiations.

He is member of the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks and has completed both the IBC Introduction to Business Management Course and IBC Advanced Business Management Course, accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

Outside of work, if not at his local pub quiz, he’s enjoying his favourite tunes or catching up with friends.
