April Beech

April Beech – Pupil

April Beech

Introduction

April Beech commenced her Crime and Regulatory pupillage in April 2024 and completed her first six under the supervision of Amy Jackson. She is now accepting instructions in all areas of crime and regulatory law.

Before commencing pupillage, April worked in Prison Law at Purcell Parker, regularly representing prisoners before the Parole Board, and in adjudications and applications for recategorisation.

After reading History at Cardiff University, April was awarded the Queen Mother Scholarship by Middle Temple to complete her law conversion, during which she won the University of Law (Birmingham) Mooting Competition. April was also a finalist in the University of Law Plea in Mitigation Competition in 2022. She was awarded a Certificate of Honour by the Inn for her performance on the BPC. During her Masters, April worked pro-bono for Women’s Aid and Citizens Advice and volunteered for SOS!SEN, providing legal advice to the parents and carers of children with SEN. April has first-hand experience caring for a sibling with learning difficulties and is therefore well-placed to represent vulnerable clients with complex needs.

April likes to travel and spent a year studying in Prague. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family, belly-dancing, swimming, writing poetry, and helping out at her church.
