The Bar Placement Scheme, which gives students in years 12 and 13 and first-year undergraduates a real-life insight into the life of a barrister, has been running this week.

As part of the scheme, we were delighted to welcome to Chambers Shakila Taweer (pictured alongside barrister Meredith Rawsthorne), who spent her week shadowing barristers from within both our Family and Crime Groups and Sara Hirji, who spent time with members of our Crime Group.

You can find out more about the Bar Placement Scheme, which, alongside offering successful applicants the opportunity to shadow barristers, provides advocacy training from the Inns of Court College of Advocacy: https://www.barcouncil.org.uk/becoming-a-barrister/i-am-a-school-or-college-student/bar-placement-scheme.html
