We recognise that clients demand specialist knowledge from barristers who are technically astute, excellent in court and aware of wider commercial issues and personable.

In April 2026, the first Defendant, represented by Matthew Cullen, stabbed a male in the eye, resulting in the loss of that eye and penetration of the male’s brain. The Prosecution alleged that this was an unlawful assault and that the second Defendant, represented by Carl Templar-Vasey, encouraged or assisted his co-Defendant and brother.
Following a 5-day trial in front of the Recorder of Birmingham in October 2026, both Defendants were acquitted of all counts they faced.
Matthew and Carl were instructed by Richard Ellis of Purcell Parker Solicitors.
