Following an eight-day trial at Derby Crown Court defendant Regan Martin, represented by Lee Marklew KC, was acquitted of murder. The prosecution had argued that the defendant had stabbed her partner to death and intended to cause him serious harm during an assault in December 2023.

Lee Marklew KC was instructed by Justin Ablott and Justine Dexter of Smith Partnership.
