Denise Breen-Lawton KC Secures Guilty Verdict in Child Neglect Case

Last week Denise Breen-Lawton KC successfully prosecuted a woman in her 30s for an offence of cruelty by neglect of a 5-month-old baby.

This sensitive and harrowing case involved complex issues of law and the tragic death of the baby. The case has been adjourned for reports pending sentence in December.

The jury returned a unanimous guilty verdict after just over an hour of deliberation.
