Lee Marklew KC of St Philips Chambers and Orlando Pownall KC of 2 Hare Court, instructed by Ben Henry of Jonas Roy Bloom, acted for the only defendant to be acquitted following a $500 million trade fraud trial.

David Spriddell, the former Finance Director of Balli Steel, which collapsed in 2013 owing more than twenty financial institutions more than $500 million, was found not guilty on two charges.
