Ben Williams defends alleged gunman in ‘revenge shooting’ case involving use of a sawn-off shotgun

The shooting was said to have been in retaliation for the target group wounding a member of the defendants’ group with a knife and then instigating an armed disorder at hospital the previous night.

In the absence of any complainant or eye witness, the prosecution relied on extensive CCTV, cell-site, phone contact and forensic scientific evidence to demonstrate a coordinated counterattack. Ben’s client was successfully acquitted of attempted murder and instead convicted of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.
