MCCBA – Oral Agreements in the Supreme Court

Join the MCCBA for a talk by Professor Paul Davies (UCL) on the recent decisions of the Supreme Court in Barton v Morris and Guest v Guest, which will highlight some of the difficulties that arise when parties do not clearly record their bargain in a written document. This talk will analyse the different approaches of the majority and minority in each case, focussing upon issues of contract formation, implied terms, unjust enrichment and proprietary estoppel.
