Introduction

Jake Smithers joined St Philips Chambers as a Junior Civil Clerk in Summer 2017 and was promoted to clerking for the Business & Property Group in Summer 2018. As part of the group’s clerking team, he assists with the administration and running of members’ practices including diary management, allocation of new work and fee negotiations.

He is a member of the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks and has completed the IBC Introduction to Business Management Course, accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

Outside of work, if not at his local pub quiz, he will be listening to some of his favourite music or spending time with friends.
