The Defendant was sentenced to 30 months’ imprisonment at Birmingham Crown Court in February for two counts of Possession with Intent to Supply Class A Drugs.

April was granted leave to appeal and appeared before Lord Justice Green (Senior Presiding Judge), Mrs Justice Yip (Deputy Senior Presiding Judge), and Mr Justice Goose on Friday. The Court allowed the appeal, quashed the 30-month sentence, and resentenced the Defendant to 2 years’ imprisonment. The Defendant’s release on Home Detention Curfew will now be brought forward.
