After more than 30 years as a barrister in Birmingham and tenant of Chambers, Anthony Verduyn is leaving practice to dedicate himself to mediations and judicial work.

Anthony has been a cornerstone of St Philips Chambers, our Business & Property Group, and the West Midland property bar and his exceptional career as a barrister has been marked by unwavering dedication and remarkable achievements. We are however, delighted that he will remain with St Philips as an associate member to offer his invaluable expertise as a mediator, when not sitting in his Court and Tribunal judicial roles.

Reflecting on this change, Anthony remarked: “Working with such an outstanding team has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. I know that I am leaving the Real Estate team in a robust and dynamic position, with strength in depth, and I look forward to contributing in my new capacity as a specialist mediator. I would also like to thank all my clients, who have made my time at the Bar enjoyable and helped me achieve so much. The future of the team is incredibly bright, and I am proud to remain a part of its journey.”

Senior Clerk, Justin Luckman commented: “Anthony’s influence on Chambers has been profound. His leadership, insight, and professionalism has helped shape the strong foundation our Real Estate team stands on today. While we will miss his full-time presence, we are delighted by his continued involvement as a Mediator and the enduring legacy he leaves behind.”
