St Philip’s chosen to play a central role in Art4Charity project

St Philips Chambers is honoured to be welcoming many prominent figures of Birmingham in the upcoming weeks as we play our part in promoting a very worthy cause.

We are honoured that the Art4Charity project has chosen St Philips Chambers HQ in the centre of Birmingham as one of a small number of venues to welcome local dignitaries, celebrities and other prominent Brummies to sign a mural, ‘Forward in Unity’ commemorating the city’s response to the Covid 19 crisis.

A handful of limited edition prints, will then be auctioned which in turn will help the charities Acorns Children’s Hospice, St Mary’s Hospice and SIFA Fireside.

Amongst the signatories, we have welcomed Jess Phillips, who recently was one of the candidates to run for the Labour Party leadership, and in recent years has become one of the country’s best-known MPs.

Art4Charity’s current project is in collaboration with local world-renowned graffiti artist Gent 48, who painted ‘Forward In Unity’ to landmark the testing times the pandemic has given the city, and the world in general.

The artwork encapsulates how Birmingham does move ‘Forward In Unity’, depicting the City’s NHS and frontline workers fighting back the many negative factors of the coronavirus crisis on the wellbeing of the residents of Birmingham.
