Regulatory Tenancies

St Philips Chambers is inviting applications from experienced barristers to join our highly regarded Regulatory Group. We would also welcome enquiries from those seeking probationary tenancy who can demonstrate exceptional potential and ambition.

Demand for our members has never been greater. Our Regulatory Group continues to experience sustained growth and seek experienced barristers to enable us to continue to meet client demand.

We therefore have a genuine opportunity for established practitioners to join a thriving team with access to high-quality work.

Our members are instructed across the full spectrum of regulatory law, acting for regulators, public bodies, professional registrants, businesses and individuals in complex and high-profile matters.

What we offer

  • An immediate opportunity to develop your practice within a busy and expanding team where demand can exceed capacity.
  • High-quality instructions from an established and loyal client base.
  • A collaborative and supportive group of experienced practitioners recognised for excellence in regulatory work.
  • Responsive, commercially focused clerking dedicated to helping you maximise your practice.
  • Modern facilities, competitive chambers’ arrangements and significant investment in technology.
  • A serious commitment to diversity, inclusion and professional development.

Who we’re looking for

Our primary focus is on practitioners of around 10 years’ call and above with an established regulatory practice.

However, we recognise exceptional talent at all stages of practice including hearing from candidates seeking probationary tenancy who have the ability and strong desire to build a successful regulatory practice within Chambers.

Whether your expertise lies in health and safety, environmental, licensing, trading standards, consumer protection, professional discipline, inquests or associated public law matters, we would welcome a confidential conversation.
