Introduction
William Baker specialises in Family Law Children Proceedings. He acts for parents, children through their guardians and Local Authorities in both public and private law cases in the High Court and County Courts.
William is a popular barrister of choice in cases involving complex cases in family law children cases and the Court of Protection. He appears routinely in the High Court and County Court. He is experienced in appearing in the Court of Appeal.

In Public Law cases William acts for Local Authorities, parents and children through their Guardians. William also undertakes cases on behalf of the Official Solicitor.
He regularly appears in multi expert cases involving serious injuries, neglect, sexual abuse and death. He is experienced in representing people with learning difficulties and mental health issues, including cases involving the Inherent Jurisdiction of the High Court.

Private Law Children and Domestic Abuse
In Private Law cases William is instructed to act in intractable disputes and complex cases involving domestic violence, sexual abuse and rape. William also represents parents in cases of removal from the jurisdiction. He regularly represents the Guardian Ad Litem instructed by CAFCASS or NYAS.
