Introduction
Clare is a persuasive advocate who is regularly instructed to defend and prosecute Crown Court trials exceeding her year of call. She has an approachable manner with clients and builds rapport easily.
She is experienced in dealing with vulnerable witnesses as well as representing vulnerable clients. She welcomes instructions in all areas and is a Grade 2 Prosecutor. Due to her previous experience as a secondary school teacher, she has a particular interest in youth work.
In her regulatory practice, Clare receives instructions to defend and prosecute in a variety of areas. She has represented authorities in Article 2 inquests, regularly advises local councils and has represented clients in Crown Court trials.

- R v MP/MH [2026] – Successfully prosecuted at trial D charged with s18, attending a shop in Coventry with another armed with a knife
- Op Maximum [2026] – Junior Defence Csl for D1 at trial – D accused of kidnapping – only Defendant acquitted after trial
- R v WB [2026] – 12 month suspended sentence order for conveying cocaine into HMP Dovegate
- R v MW, SS, IO [2026] – Prosecution Csl at trial for 3-handed aggravated burglary where a knife was held over a baby – 2 Ds convicted of aggravated burglary; 1 of dwelling burglary – sentences totalling 19 years
- R v CB [2026] – Suspended sentence order for perverting the course of justice where D had attended Court and pleaded guilty posed as someone else
- Op Icefox [2026] – Junior Defence Csl for D1 at trial in an attempted murder involving a firearm
- R v JE [2026] – Successfully prosecuted at trial of D charged with s18 using a screwdriver
- R v JH [2025] – Defended at trial allegations of domestic violence; Pros offered no evidence midway through cross-examination of the IP
- R v JC [2025] – Client sentenced to a community order for several high-value car thefts
- R v AB [2025] – Instructed to represent D present during the shockwave 2024 summer riots
- R v TC [2025] – Successfully prosecuted at trial D importing 22kg of Cannabis via Birmingham Airport

- R v IM [2024] – Client not in attendance at trial acquitted by jury of arson with intent to endanger life
- R v GM [2024] – Junior Prosecution Counsel in s18 GBH where D was accused of shaking a baby
- R v JL [2023] – Client acquitted of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs driving a convicted drug dealer
- R v LB [2023] – Represented a vulnerable youth accused of assault by penetration who was acquitted
- R v JJ [2023] – Client acquitted of ill-treatment of patient who was non-verbal
