Two QC appointments for St Philips

St Philips Barristers’ Chambers are proud to announce that two of its members have been appointed Queen’s Counsel, taking the number of Silks at the Chambers to 17.

Lee Marklew and Sara Lewis have been appointed by Her Majesty The Queen on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, Robert Buckland QC, MP, following consideration by the independent Queen’s Counsel Selection Panel.

Lee Marklew was called to the Bar in 1993. He is a leading member of the criminal group and has vast experience of dealing with cases of the utmost gravity and complexity.

Sara Lewis, who was called to the Bar in 1996, is one of the leading public law specialists at all levels – County Court, High Court and Court of Appeal – acting for parents and guardians, whilst also a specialist in non-accidental injury.

Chambers Director, Joe Wilson said of the appointments: “I congratulate Lee and Sara on their richly deserved appointments. 2020 has been a difficult year for everyone and it is fantastic that we can cap the year off with such splendid news.
