Chambers’ Business and Property Group is delighted to announce that Christopher Buckingham, Gavin McLeod and John Aldis have been accepted as full members of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), recognising their expertise in contested trusts and estates work.

Their successful completion of the rigorous STEP assessments reflects their deep understanding of the field, including both contentious and non-contentious aspects. In Christopher and John’s cases, this also included a strong taxation focus, while Gavin’s essay on letters of wishes in wills earned a prestigious Worldwide Excellence Award from the Society. Notably, they achieved Distinctions in multiple assessments.

Christopher, Gavin and John pursued full STEP membership as part of their commitment to deepening their knowledge in this increasingly complex area. Their achievement further strengthens Chambers’ specialist offering, reinforcing the expertise available to instructing solicitors and clients in trust and estate disputes.
