We are honoured to announce that Juliet Allen, one of our family team, has been given the accolade of The Worcestershire Law Society Barrister of the Year for 2020.

Despite the current restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event took place, albeit with limited numbers and stringent conditions to comply with Government advice, at Centenary Lounge Worcester, on 24th September 2020.

We are pleased that, in these trying times, Juliet, a matrimonial finance and family trusts specialist, despite being unable to attend due to work commitments, had her award accepted by colleague John Aldis who was in attendance. It was evident by the reaction of respected peers at the event the high-esteem in which Juliet is held.

Despite the current extraordinary current conditions many more of Juliet’s peers were able to share her success thanks to technology as the event was streamed by The Worcestershire Law Society via YouTube.

Upon receiving the award she said via the live stream: “Thank you very much to James Osbourne, President of the Worcestershire Law Society, the panel, all the organisers, and my fantastic clerks who support me every day.”

We, her colleagues, at St Philips are delighted to see her exceptional work recognised by this prestigious award, and wish to add our voices to the many others throughout the legal profession congratulating her on this special achievement.
