Introduction

Julie is a family law specialist and has developed a practice in public and private children work including cases with an international element. She undertakes work in the Court of Protection and matrimonial finance. Julie has practised in New Zealand where she is qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor.

Recent Cases:

Re Y [2014] EWCA Civ 1287 – Permission to remove from the jurisdiction. Whether article 8 human rights apply in private law cases.

Julie undertakes work in the Court of Protection. She has acted for family members unable to agree a plan for their relative or the protected person requiring the assistance of the Court, both in health and welfare and property decisions. This experience derives from work both in this country and abroad and has included advice regarding, and the drafting of, enduring powers of attorney and detailed orders for the Court.
