Emma joined chambers following the successful completion of her pupillage. She practices in family and employment.
Having read Law with French at the University of Birmingham, Emma went on to study her LLM in European Union Law and secured pupillage upon the completion of her BPTC in 2013.
Emma is always well prepared, is approachable, and will offer sensible and realistic advice.

Private Law Children and Domestic Abuse
Emma is regularly instructed in private children proceedings, from first directions appointments, through fact finding to final hearing. She frequently acts for parents and for extended family members.
Emma is familiar with challenging the conclusions of experts, where necessary, including Cafcass and psychologists. She also has experience of protracted and implacable contact and residence disputes, ancillary orders such as prohibited steps and specific issues, and cases involving the appointment of guardians.
Emma has experience of Children Act and Family Law Act cases involving allegations of domestic, physical and sexual abuse. She frequently appears in applications for non-molestation and occupation orders, from first directions through to contested final hearings. Public Law Care and Adoption
Emma regularly acts in care proceedings and welcomes instructions on behalf of Local Authorities, parents, Children’s Guardians and extended family members.
During pupillage, Emma was seconded the Children’s Services Department of a Local Authority, and acted for the Local Authority in a variety of matters including interim care and emergency protection hearings, wardship, and child arrangement orders in which the Local Authority had become involved.
Emma has experience of working with parents with learning and mental health difficulties and is always mindful of the need for clarity and sensitivity when taking instructions.
Emma was recently led in the High Court, acting for a Local Authority, in a ten-day fact find involving domestic violence and sexual assault.+ Add to Brochure
