Introduction

Douglas has practised in Birmingham since 1974, covering all areas of law, except admiralty. He now specializes solely in Property Law, with a particular interest in Leasehold Enfranchisement. He is also a Chartered Arbitrator.

Douglas is a former member of the Council on Tribunals, and has served on committees of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the West Midlands Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He sits regularly as a Recorder in the Crown Court and the County Courts (civil and family), and as Legal Assessor to the Fitness to Practise Panels of the General Medical Council, General Dental Council, and the Nursing and Midwifery Council, and as Deputy Chairman of the Fitness to Practise Committee of the General Pharmaceutical Council.
