Catherine Ravenscroft [Pupil]

Introduction

Catherine is a pupil in her second-six specialising in criminal law.

Prior to pupillage, Catherine worked for Cadent Gas and advised on legal matters including implantation of GDPR. She also wrote for the legal blog Inherently Human, which provides criminal perspectives on the relationship between law, gender and sexuality.

Since joining chambers, Catherine has undertaken her first-six of pupillage under the supervision of Jennifer Josephs and has been exposed to a wide variety of criminal cases including homicide and gang crime. She is now undertaking her own work in the practice areas of crime and regulatory law. Catherine has already started to develop a busy practice and appears in the Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court on a daily basis. Catherine is listed on the CPS Advocate Panel for General Crime, level 1.

Catherine has a first-class degree from Durham University and is a member of Gray’s Inn. Away from work she is a keen dancer and has performed publicly at venues including the Arena Birmingham.
