St Philips Chambers is delighted to announce that Laura Coton, called 2019, will be joining its Criminal Group on 26th September. Laura is currently a Senior Crown Prosecutor with CPS East Midlands.

On confirming Laura’s tenancy, Senior Criminal Clerk Andrew Rourke commented;

“Laura is someone I have known and respected for some time so I will be absolutely thrilled to welcome her to Chambers at the end of the month. The wider team and I remain focussed on growing our already highly experienced Criminal group, Laura is the first part of that plan coming to fruition.”

Speaking after attaining tenancy, Laura Coton said:

“After a fantastic start to my career, I am excited to begin this next chapter. It was important for me to join a set renowned for excellence, so I was naturally delighted to receive St Philips’ tenancy offer. St Philips is an award-winning set with a very strong criminal practice group. I am really looking forward to getting started.”

St Philips Chambers is synonymous with attracting and nurturing some of the finest talent at the Bar and we continue to look to add to our Criminal Group. We are actively seeking tenancy applications from barristers, like Laura, who are between 1 to 10 years’ call.
