Blondel Thompson Appointed as Specialist Member of National Anti Doping Panel

Blondel Thompson has been appointed by Sports Resolution(UK) to act as a specialist member of the National Anti-Doping Panel.  From the 1st of September Blondel will be called upon to act as part of a prestigious panel determining instances of drug use in  a number of sporting arena. This important appointment recognises the former British & Commonwealth 100m hurdles record holder not only for her unrivaled experience in the world of competitive sport but also compliments her practice as a barrister where she specialises in Sports and Criminal law.

Aside from the participation in athletics Blondel is also an arbitrator for the Court of Arbitration for Sport, (based in Lausanne, Switzerland); she was a member of the Disciplinary Tribunals of UK Athletics and was appointed as Chairwoman in 2001 for The Football Association Appeals Board. That role was extended in 2005 by Sports Resolutions to other areas including Swimming, Child Protection & and the Illegibility Appeal involving Sports Council Recognition of a sport.
