Ben Close successfully prosecuted the trial of 2 defendants for their part in the armed robbery of a jewellery shop using a firearm. One defendant received 16 years’ imprisonment with an extended period of 4 years and his female partner whose role included the ‘getaway driver’ received 8 years.
