Andrew specialises in children cases and has a particular interest and expertise in representing parents, children and others in public law proceedings. He is also experienced and accepts instructions in private law children cases. He has a wide knowledge of children cases with an international element having been editor of the International Survey of Family law for over ten years.

Andrew is known nationally and internationally for his writing on children law. He wrote the first book on the Children Act 1989 and is author of the leading textbook Children: The Modern Law (4th edition, 2013).
